School Days

Well, we started school and so we've been tweaking the schedule as we go.  Here's some random shots over the last four weeks.

Mattie's first try on her new sewing machine.

She was so excited!!  No kidding, she took to it quick!  She is now helping the other girls in our Homemaker's Club wind their bobbins and thread their machines!  She is going to start helping out with the Stitches for Angels group at church making blankets for the children's hospitals.

JoJo was less than happy that something was taking his playmate away!

Daddy and JoJo decided they needed to do some guy stuff!

Recess in the fort.

JoJo doing his spanish lesson.  This is beyond hysterical to listen to.  My little country boy can sure butcher the spanish language.

Piano lessons.  And, no, that's not dust...it's a protective coating!

This started the very first day of class.  This is Sally, sitting on a wood glider under the classroom window.  It's like she's saying, "Hey, guys, whatcha doin?  Come outside!"

Buddy waits patiently

Reading time

Piano lessons again.  In our boxers, no less!

Our first science experiment.  We conducted physical and chemical tests on baby powder, baking powder and confectioner's sugar.

Mixing the chemicals

Watching for the results

Recording the findings

This is principal Perry, hard at work in his office.

This is our recess surprise.  Joseph ran in the house and declared that there was a 'mexican" snake outside!!!

Our esteemed principal quickly handled the issue after letting the students examine it.

Buddy was "under" whelmed!

The babies first real road trip in a long time.  We went to visit Jacob on Saturday.

Buddy wanted to be with his "buddy"

Learning our bible verses.  One for each week we've been in school.

That's it for now!  I'll try to update once a week instead of once a month so the posts won't be so long.
